CHAMPIONS - GAIA FC

I captain Geo FC, which plays in the Morgantown, WV Buckskin Soccer League...Geo FC mostly consists of students and colleagues associated with the geosciences...during the winter, we break it up into two teams for the indoor season...Geo FC and GAIA FC...

Last night, I participated in the Betty Puskar Breast Cancer Benefit 4 vs 4 Soccer Tournament, which is organized by the WVU Women's Soccer Team, on Sunday March 6th. Five teams participated...one team emerged as champions...that's right... GAIA FC.

It was a blast...8 minute halves and each team plays with a WVU women's soccer player...
I, along with my teamates are working on our Masters Degree from WVU...pictured left to right are me (M.S. Geol), Ashtin Larkin (WVU soccer), Andrea Sack (M.S. Geol) and Brad Breslow (M.S. Geog).

We went undefeated and played against my arch nemisis, the Dirty Dozen. We were down 2-5 at the half and came back to win 6-5...

I specifically requested the baddest, meanest, dirtiest player WVU had...as you can see by the picture, they honored my request and we stomped over the competition...
As champions, we got t-shirts (i'm wearing it in the pic)...what you don't see is the back...it says CHAMPION.
This is great, because sometimes I forget how great I think I am...also, i sometimes get concerned that other people forget how great I think I am...now, I can wear the shirt and people can be constantly reminded of how great I think I am.

Call it the tiger blood...call it Adonis DNA...I call it being a CHAMPION.
